TWO NEW HARD-TO-COME-BY EXCLUSIVES
At a time when everything is attainable online and made to attract the maximum number of consumers, Guerlain wants to make a statement about exclusivity and hard-to-come-by luxury. The brand has launched two new perfume editions sold only in Paris and Moscow respectively. None of them are available in webshops or anywhere else in the world.
The perfume Ne m'Oubliez Pas is even limited to Maison Guerlain itself. It's a new composition in Parfum concentration, classified as a spicy and woody oriental, with notes of plum, cardamom, rose, everlasting flower, carnation, cinnamon, patchouli, amber, vanilla and moss. Like Le Bouquet de la Mariée, the perfume is sold in the 125 ml quadrilobe bottle, but at a significantly lower price, namely 500 €.
Carmen Le Bolshoï, the fourth Le Bolshoï edition, is as usually targeted at the Russian luxury goods market. According to Guerlain, the scent is an ode to vetiver, in a floral, woody and feminine interpretation. Notes listed are orange blossom, citrus, pink pepper, jasmine, cedarwood, vetiver and white musk. Doesn't this description make us dream of the lamented Vetiver Pour Elle? 60 ml EdP, 300 €.
On a side note, there's something odd with these prices. 60 ml EdP for 300 €, and 125 ml Parfum for 500 €. We know which one we'd choose.
