ANNE-MARIE SAGET: JEAN-PAUL GUERLAIN'S CO-PERFUMER 1975-1989


As it has been a tradition at Guerlain to appoint a single master perfumer, Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk form the brand's first official in-house perfumer duo. However, they're not really the first. French perfumer Anne-Marie Saget was employed as Jean-Paul Guerlain's co-perfumer from 1975 until 1989, participating in the creation of all Guerlain perfumes from Parure to Samsara.

"I have a lot of respect for Jean-Paul Guerlain and consider him, despite everything that has been said about him, as a grand perfumer, the best of his time, until LVMH took over the brand," she says in an interview from 2015. Read interview
